Our Book features 33 projects for your handmade home. In this blog series, we are featuring projects from the Modern Macramé book - you will learn a bit about the behind the scenes, as well as the best materials to use in your macramé projects.
This week's project is the Modern Macramé Daybed.
"We photographed the daybed in a few of our favorite LA spots. Featured here at Lightlab We styled the space with textiles and tropical plants. Oh, and of course rugs from Coco Carpets." - Emily
This piece was recently featured in The Seattle Times' article: "12 Ways to Add Beach Vibes to Your Home and Ward off Winter Sadness"
To make the Modern Macramé Daybed, you will need:
1 spool + 1 bundle of 5mm natural cotton rope
A cot frame. (We recommend buying from Byer of Maine)
This pattern is made using a variety of knots including the Reverse Lark's Head Knot, Square Knot, Sinnet of Square Knots, Alternating Square Knot. You can learn how to make these, along with more techniques and tutorials, on our YouTube Channel!
"We also sell these readymade, if making isn't for you. Check out our homegoods page on our site. " - Emily
