Bay Area Tour Stops
The beginning of the Modern Macramé book tour felt like SO long ago. But back in May, of 2018 we got in the van and drove south from Portland. From Sacramento we drove late one night (after a workshop!) and arrived after midnight at the Inverness A Frame. It is owned by Blythe Friedmann. Not only was the place absolutely stunning in every way possible down to every single detail, but she is an incredible human as well and the best host. We are scheming to plan a retreat there later next year! So stay tuned.
She even has amazing macramé by Bay Area artist Windy Chien.
Hanging out by the warmth of the wood stove was such a pleasure between workshops.
Next up, we hosted two events at The Assembly SF. One, a wall hanging workshop, and another in partnership with Farm Girl Flowers, a floral crown class!
Emily, Teaching in SF.
We stayed at two different Sonders in the city. This one was Downtown, and it was lovely, except parking our van was difficult. They were super nice about it and moved us into a cute spot in the mission that came with free parking.
Our Sonder in the Mission was also walkable to Tartine and Heath Ceramics. Two favorite places to stop into when in the city.
We ate some incredible food, and it was worth the hour long wait....
The next day we went to Oakland to teach at A Verb For Keeping Warm.
They hand dyed some of our rope to use in the macrame pieces with their own indigo.
It was a really special.
Stay tuned for more recaps and tour stories.
