FROM OUR BOOK: The Celebration Garland
Our Book features 33 Projects for your handmade home, and in this weekly series, we are featuring each project from the book. You will learn a bit about the behind the scenes as well as the best materials to use to make your macrame projects.
This week's project is the CELEBRATION GARLAND. We photographed this piece on our final day in Copenhagen at the home of Stylist, Rikke Graff Juel. Her home was the perfect backdrop for this beginner macramé project.
To make the Celebration Garland you'll need:
One spool of natural 5mm cotton rope
One bundle of a 5mm contrasting color
The Celebration garland, is really a series of small wall hangings strung together to create one garland. Play with the pattern, add fringe! Create new versions of wall hangings in your own unique style! Add color to match the decor of your home or party theme.
Check out our book for the full pattern and step-by-step tutorial for this project. Share what you make with us using #modernmacramebook and tagging us @modernmacrame on Instagram.
This pattern is made using these alternating square knots. You can learn how to make them, and more knots and techniques, on our Youtube Channel!
