FROM OUR BOOK: Nature Channel Plant Hanger
Our Book features 33 projects for your handmade home. In this blog series, we are featuring projects from the Modern Macramé book - you will learn a bit about the behind the scenes, as well as the best materials to use in your macramé projects.
This week's project is the Nature Channel Plant Hanger.
"Plant hangers can be styled in so many different ways! Not just for plants! We shot this scene from the book in the stunning home of Jessica Helgerson, a Portland, OR based interior designer. Florals by Espe Floral and ceramics from Spartan Shop and The Granite. " - Emily
To make the Nature Channel Plant Hanger, you will need:
1-2 bundles of our 5mm Army Green Cotton Rope (or, hemp gardening cord)
1 1/4" Brass Ring
3" Brass Ring
This pattern is made using a variety of knots including the Square Knot, Sinnet of Square Knots, Alternating Square Knot, etc. You can learn how to make these, along with more techniques and tutorials, on our YouTube Channel!
"I love using this hemp rope for this project, but it would look wonderful with any of our string colors as well. Playing with color is such a pleasure when you think about what kind of plant will go inside." - Emily
Check out our book for the full pattern for this project, and share what you make with us using #modernmacramebook and tagging @modernmacrame on Instagram. Our book is available here, on amazon, or wherever books are sold.
