PROJECTS FROM OUR BOOK: Single Plant Hanger
Our Book features 33 Projects for your Handmade home, and in this weekly series, we are featuring each project from the book in order. You will learn a bit about the behind the scenes as well as the best materials to use to make your macrame projects.
This weeks project is the SINGLE PLANT HANGER. It is the gateway drug to macramé and the first project I learned how to make.
We photographed it in Copenhagen, at the home of stylist Rikke Graff Juel, and in Portland, OR at the home of Liz Kamarul.
To make the Single Plant Hanger you'll need:
We used the natural cotton for the photos, but I think this plant hanger would look amazing in a variety of colors. I made one recently using our Mint Rope, and it was such a stunner.
I really like this project since it uses just one bundle. It is a great project that doesn't cost too much to make.
Many people have mentioned that they had a lot of scrap rope left over with this one, and it's just the nature of the beast. We will be sharing more projects and patterns soon that will help inspire uses for your scrap rope. So stay tuned.
Check out our book for the pattern for this plant hanger and share what you make with us using #modernmacramebook and tagging us @modernmacrame on Instagram.
