We've been waiting for this! Join Emily Katz and Kara Gilbert on Vibrant Valley Farms for a two-day IN PERSON workshop.
Ever want to dip your hands into dyeing your own macramé cords? This is the workshop for you! After a tour of the beautiful Vibrant Valley Farm, Kara will guide you through the process of indigo dyeing. And, Emily will provide you with the knowledge needed to knot up your very own wall hanging!

INDIGO DYE WORKSHOP

Get to know your workshop hosts Emily and Kara. Then take a tour of the majestic Vibrant Valley Farm and learn more about the Indigo plant and dye process. To finish the day, you'll dive in to dyeing your own macramé cords and handkerchief, with natural dye and pigment artist Kara Gilbert.
MACRAMÉ WALL HANGING WORKSHOP
Sunday, February 13, 10:00am - 1:00pm
Start the day with prepping your macramé stations with your uniquely dyed cords. Then, Emily Katz will teach the foundational techniques of macramé and guide you through knotting up your own wall hanging.
On both days, enjoy light snacks and beverages. We recommend bringing a sack lunch and water bottle. See FAQ for additional information

AURORA ELIXIRS is a female founded and operated business crafting sparkling whole plant infused beverages. Using locally grown hemp and hops, Aurora Elixirs make balanced, aromatic, and refreshing beverages that highlight the natural flavors of the plants.
Are vaccinations or masks required? Proof of vaccination is required to attend the workshop for the safety of other participants and their loved ones. We will follow the state mask mandate that is in place at the time of the workshop for small outdoor gatherings.
Are materials included? Price covers all materials, dyes, and instruction for both days.
Will lunch be provided? We recommend bringing a sack lunch and water bottle.
Will there be refreshments? We will provide light refreshments in the form of farm-fresh lemonade, water, elixirs from our partners Aurora Elixirs, and some lights snacks.
What should I wear? Dress comfortably for a day on the farm. Wear shoes/clothing that can get dyed and dirty. Hat and apron recommended.
