The Mini Market Bag
Grab your sunglasses, pile the picnic basket high with treats and breathe in the fresh springtime air. This project will have you strolling out the door in style, ready to enjoy the world as it awakens. Let’s explore the Mini Market Bag!
This flirty, cross shoulder pocket draws inspiration from the Market Bag in Emily Katz's book, Modern Macramé: 33 Stylish Projects for Your Handmade Home. Originally large enough to hold your farmer’s market haul, we've downsized the pattern to perfectly house your phone, sunglasses, or lipstick and hand sani.
The Mini Market Bag is the ideal complement to your favorite outfit that has no pockets and makes traveling light, easy and adorable. Wear your beginner+ level project proudly as, like a butterfly, you emerge this spring!
If you want to make the Mini Market Bag, order the video tutorial here and let's get knotting together!
Her's a list of materials you'll need to make the Mini Market Bag:
- 1 bundle of 2mm Cotton Cord. We chose mustard, but pick whichever color makes you feel playful!
- Scissors
- Rubber Bands
- Pins
- A cushion, bolster or cork board. This project is worked flat. You will need something sturdy to pin into to secure your knots as you work.
Inspired by the Mini Market Bag, we created a mood board full of Springtime picnics, free spirited fashion, vintage bicycles, fun sunglasses, our favorite florals and more. Check it out here. We can’t wait to see how you choose to style your Mini Market Bag!
We can't wait to get started knotting with you! We'll be with you every step of the way.
