Making a book can be an EPIC undertaking. We spent 4 years on one and it involved so many helping hands. But this book was different. I wanted to make something to document the process, the behind the scenes, the funny moments, the meals, and also to honor the people who opened their inspiring homes to us for the Modern Macramé book.

I partnered with Blurb and spent 2 weeks designing the book in their BookWright software. The finished book is beautiful. I chose the Hardcover Imagewrap in Standard Portrait 8x10". The quality of the paper is gorgeous and professional. It would be perfect for a portfolio, a document of recent work, or even a book of patterns and tutorials.

The software is free and easy to learn. It has simple intuitive templates and a wide variety of options for layout and design.

I was excited to get the copy in the mail, so I had it shipped expedited and it arrived so fast. After having spent years on making a book in the past, this was such a smooth and easy experience. I love that you can upload your projects to their site and they print them as they sell. This book was designed as a portfolio piece, and so it is a little pricey to offer for sale, but I plan to play around with other formats and papers (Macramé journals, anyone?) and find a sweet spot so I can extend the book to you all to bring into your homes.
